Experience. Empathy. Empowerment.

"We grow because we struggle, we learn and overcome." -R. C. Allen.

With a lifelong connection to the chemically dependent population—beginning at age 11 as a child of Christian missionaries in Nigeria—I have always felt a deep calling to positively impact the lives of individuals suffering from addiction and mental health challenges. My early and ongoing involvement with this community has shaped my empathetic, patient, and insightful approach to care.

I hold advanced degrees in mental health and addiction counseling and have participated in research projects focused on effective, evidence-based interventions for both substance use and general mental health disorders. My education and research experience allow me to integrate the latest clinical knowledge into my practice, ensuring clients receive the most effective and up-to-date care.

My clinical experience spans a wide range of issues, including:

  • Substance dependencies and addictions

  • Co-occurring disorders (addiction with mental health conditions)

  • Mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar disorder)

  • Substance-induced disorders

  • Stress-related and trauma-related disorders

  • General anxiety, adjustment, and life transition concerns

I use the biopsychosocial model to guide my approach, carefully assessing each client’s unique background, underlying factors, and current stressors. I believe that culture plays a vital role in the etiology and treatment of addiction and mental health concerns, and I am committed to developing culturally tailored, individualized treatment plans that honor each person’s story.

My goal is to support clients in achieving lasting recovery and overall well-being through compassionate, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive care.
